National List & KirkpatrickPrice partner to provide CFPB Readiness Webinars

KP_Logo_L.jpgA FREE webinar series hosted by The National List of Attorneys and drawing on the compliance expertise of KirkpatrickPrice is designed to assist any law firm, no matter what size, with possible CFPB concerns. The first webinar, “Compliance Management System (CMS) Overview,” is pre-recorded and available for viewing now. We encourage you to listen in before NARCA (May 15-18, 2014) so that NL &/or KP can answer any questions you may have while you’re there.

KirkpatrickPrice is a licensed CPA firm registered with the PCAOB. They provide a wide array of information and compliance assurance services to over 250 clients in more than 40 states, Canada, Europe, and Asia. They perform assessments, audits, and tests that strengthen information security and regulatory compliance internal controls, including advice on CFPB and other ARM compliance issues. Not only will KirkpatrickPrice specialists audit your organization to ensure compliance, but they also provide guidance, assisting you in overcoming challenges and subsequently assisting in preventing future deficiencies.

The first webinar introduces you to KirkpatrickPrice and their services and to the experts who will share their information and expertise with you via the upcoming, live, interactive webinars. It starts with the basics of a CMS, and is simple-to-follow for both small and large firms who may have no CMS in place or who already have one in place, but who may need additional resources or information. You will learn the basics of the Plan, Do, Check, Act Cycle and be better able to evaluate your own compliance risks.

The live CFBP Readiness Webinar Series, which begins on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. CDT, will help collection law firms to learn the basics of:

  • Policy and procedure drafting
  • Risk assessment
  • GLBA and Regulation P compliance
  • UDAAP and how it applies to you
  • Effectively collecting and responding to consumer complaints
  • Laying the groundwork for an Internal Audit Program
  • Vendor compliance management and tools available to automate the process

The first webinar in this series is titled, “Policy and Procedure Drafting 101.” Attendees will learn tips and techniques including:

  • Required Document Elements
  • Approval & Review Requirements
  • Document Management
  • Most Commonly Requested Documents

Each webinar has an attendance limit of 80. You can register for one or more webinars depending on what meets your interests and needs. Prior to each series of webinars, notification will be sent out for registration for that specific webinar topic. National List is the Go-To-Resource for compliance. We lead the industry in compliance by providing clients with their own Compliance Program that aids them in gathering needed documentation and compliance data on their NL attorney network. You can learn more about it on our website. We aid attorneys in providing the documentation to qualified recipients so they don’t have to waste time and resources by doing it repeatedly themselves.

By partnering with KirkpatrickPrice and bringing you these free webinars on various aspects of compliance, you now have access to another valuable resource to help ensure that your law firm meets all compliance standards. We encourage you to participate, in order to get the most out of your National List membership.
